Will counselling help me?

According to Dr. Carl Rogers, who founded counselling theory, if the relationship between you and your therapist is one of trust, there will be an improvement in your thinking process.

Thinking patterns such as worrying what others might say or think about you can be unhelpful because you become fearful and stop trusting yourself. Although the intention of worry is to protect you from rejection, you may have formed unrealistic opinions of yourself that impact your mental health.

Talking and discovering how you can be yourself easily with me allows you to get a good idea of who you really are. The “sense of self”, as it is often called, makes it possible for you to trust your inner voice and know your own mind confidently. There should also be an improvement in your ability to make decisions.
